Right-to-Hire
Right-to-hire is a provision in a staffing contract that gives the client the option to convert a contract or temporary worker into a permanent employee, often after a specified period.
Right-to-hire (sometimes called contract-to-hire) is closely related to temp-to-hire, and the terms are frequently used interchangeably — especially in IT and professional staffing. It preserves the flexibility of a contract engagement while keeping a clear path to a permanent offer.
As with temp-to-hire, a conversion fee may apply when the client exercises the option, and the terms are defined in the staffing agreement.
